05/03/00— Jörg Burger is coming to New York to perform at Flyer Magazine’s Anniversary Party (May 23, at the piece of real estate formerly known as Tramps), which will be an extravaganza of booze and music. Performing alongside Jörg with be Derrick May (one of the founding fathers of Detroit Techno, recently featured on the Warp 10+1 Influences CD under the name “Rhythim is Rhythim”) and Paul Johnson. We don’t encourage drinking and driving, but if you must drink and drive, please wear a seat belt.

01/07/00 — Also on tap for April is the new full-length LP/CD from Jörg Burger, aka The Modernist. ‘Explosion,’ including the previously released singles “Mrs. New Deal” and “Architainment pt. 1” will be released in North America in April. If you're thinking about purchasing the import version of this brilliant work, well, you might be sorry. Or maybe you don't know what "remorse" really means. Our version will have extra stuff, cost you less money and all profits will help the label owners maintain their lavish lifestyles. Or feed orphans, one of those things.
