As part of our campaign to un-cancel all the canceled Matador catalog numbers, we are releasing OLE-324-1, Pavement's canceled July 1998 live LP, as a bonus available exclusively to those who participate in Buy Early Get Now #6:

So excited for this.
Any thoughts of un-canceling OLE-170-1?

If you mean pressing it on vinyl then no, not at this time.

is there a tracklist to this bad boy or will it be a surprise?

I second this call for a tracklist. The difference between me buying this, and not bothering at all, depends on the tracklisting.

I don't care so much about the tracklist as where/when the show was, and even so, its more curiosity.
I, too, own one live LP. But I have some 10 shows on cassette. I used to have upwards of 30 shows, I need to track those tapes down.

See, BTC is my least favourite Pavement album, so if the live record were nothing but those songs and, I don't know, "So Stark", I'd be ticked off opening that in the mail. If, however, Matador/Capitol had planned to use it as a best-of to entice newcomers to check out the back catalogue, and it were a show consisting of a decent selection of the up-till-then 4 LPs, plus the EPs, I'd be pretty keen on buying that.
You weren't some Perpetua-like freak, writing out tracklistings on your live tapes with songs' working titles instead of the proper ones, were you?

No, I traded tapes like some kind of hippie nerd, but I didn't really worry about being smarter than anyone else with track titles. Whatever it was called on the album, it was called in my head.

You know, if you uploaded them to a certain place that you, me, kerri and (___) used to use when we invented the MP3blog, that would be an interesting circle of life or something. Or you can e-mail them to me. Either way, always wear protective gear.

remind me in a week, all my music is packed. except for (goddamn it) a handful of 7"s, an lp and a 10" that i just noticed are on a bottom shelf of a bookcase. this is going to be the most half-assed move i've ever done and it will likely take 3 times as long to move 9 goddamn blocks as it did to move halfway across a continent.
