the only other detail i know about the show is that ACME (the american contemporary music ensemble) will perform a jefferson friedman composition. i haven't heard anything by friedman, but i hear that his work is a mix of post-punk and modernist composition... and i have no clue what that sounds like. i think all shows take place within the whitney.

yeah i'm super excited for the whitney show. i suspect it'll be in the basement - i think all of the whitney's summer shows are there, i saw matmos there a few years ago (amazing "steams and sequins" that night). nice sound, actually - very open. that matmos show was seated, though, i wonder if it'll be the same for TNV.

a sunny day in glasgow are playing the whitney next week and prefuse 73 the week after - both (and esp. ASDIG) are tempting but i think i might be out of town for both.

the wordless shows happen all over the place. the only one i've been to was with mum and a string quartet (playing first separately, then together) in a church on the upper west side. really beautiful space and show.

anyway, i digress. can't wait for TNV.
