So has anyone else seen them in the UK yet, then? I saw them last week. I thought they were good. I'm going to see them again on Wednesday, all being well. I hope they are good again.

Saw 'em at ATP, thought they were great. Loudest guitar from Jared I've ever heard - his rented Marshall stack actually functions!

They and Jay Reatard made my ATP, I'm so looking forward to next Monday.

Yeah, the Jay Reatard/TNV double was most welcome in London. What with No Age and Soiled Mattress and the Springs also there it was surely the most exciting collection of indie-rock celebrities to ever have gathered in a basement in Dalston. Times New Viking were so great that I wasn't even slightly embarrassed about my "man needing the toilet"-style dancing. Although I was a bit embarrassed when I had an argument with Jared about t shirt sizes (he was absolutely correct, of course). Great times!

Was that in Barden's? At ATP I was telling anyone who'd listen to me to go down to see TNV and Jay Reatard there. Didn't realise No Age was playing too, great bill.
And was Soiled Mattress & The Springs any cop? They were down to support No Age at Whelan's tonight, but in the end it was only No Age, who just get better and better.

Yeah, it was at Barden's. No Age were the surprise post-headliners, or whatever. It was a pleasant surprise, even though the drummer thought I looked miserable and told me to cheer up (see how I mingle with the stars).
I thought Soiled Mattress and the Springs were great, although I'm not sure anyone agreed with me. I can see how some people might find them annoying because they seem to wander off into different riffs all the time, but I like that sort of thing, and the melodies were pretty catchy and each instrument had a part to play if you see what I mean (I'm not very good at this music criticism thing). Music for people with short attention spans, I guess. Anyway, I've basically been listening to their album/EP non-stop for the past couple of days. It cheers me up.
