Miwa, Do you know if the Fall is playing the show too? On pollstar.com it says that they are playing the Henry Fonda that night too.
The Fall is not part of the bill.
pollstar may not have had a chance to update their site.

FYI...tickets for the Henry Fonda Theater show are $30.15
Face value for the ticket was $22.50
Ticketmaster service charge (ie complimentary anal rape) $7.65
Now I'm not complaining to Mogwai or Matador... I just think it's a damn shame that had ATP went on as scheduled, I would have been able to see over 10 bands for $40 instead of 3 for $30.
In any case, I'm still very happy to be able to see Mogwai for the first leg of this tour.
No one is forced to use ticketmaster.......they are out to punish the lazy.
There are other ways to avoid their fee: buy direct from the club boxoffice or try a record store outlet or buy a ticket it at the door. ATP went under due to poor ticket sales, so not everyone looked at it as such a bargain...(werent there hefty fees on those tickets as well?)
plus ATP were really out to sell $100 passes. Also If Mogwai played their own show they would probably charge like $16 to $17 and Trail of Dead about the same...so there you go... both for only a few bucks more. Hell, White Stipes are charging $30+ to their shows and thats just two people (and usually a no name opener) Mogwai are coming from Scotland. If its too much, then don't go, but don't bug the record company because they dont set the prices.

Actually, at this point, Ticketmaster is the only way to get tickets for the show. The box office wouldn't sell tickets until the day of the show and seeing as I didn't want to take a chance of the show selling out beforehand I had no other choice. I did actually buy my ticket from a record store outlet albeit a Ticketmaster record store outlet. There wasn't any other way to buy tickets because Ticketmaster was handling the show (as opposed to Ticketweb) and there weren't any indie stores selling tickets (at least, to my knowledge there weren't).
Like I said, I wasn't complaining to either Mogwai or Matador. As far as ATP goes, I think their big flaw was starting out selling 3-day passes. They didn't start selling 1-day passes until about 2 weeks before they postponed the festival. And ATP tickets were available at some indie shops (ex. Amoeba) so I'm sure tickets would have only been $40 plus no more than a few dollars, if any, for a service charge.
Anyway, like I said, I like Mogwai enough to pay for the ticket. The initial post was just an observation/comparison of the two shows.
