Laura Cantrell is AWESOME.

Today was the in-store at Easy Street, and man, it was cool. She only did six songs (14th Street, What You Said, Khaki & Corduroy, Old Old House, Churches Off The Interstate, California Rose) but it was still really, really cool, and I got to meet her afterward. I got the setlist, and she signed it! So I framed it and put it on the wall now! Dale and Aila both said they really enjoyed it (though I knew Dale would as he's a fan of at least the first two records -- don't think he's heard the new one; Aila'd never heard her stuff before, though), so that was cool. Ben couldn't make it -- I guess he was still hiking. But he'd best be here tomorrow for the show, since I got him a damn ticket. So, hooray! I called him, but his phone wasn't on or whatever, so I left a message. So, yeah. Anyway, I know Aila'll be here around 3 ish, and he should be here really early too, just because we have to be there at 5:30. So, yeah. Hooray! Laura Cantrell is so good.

She is really friendly, too. She was talkin' to everyone and being really nice and chatting and everything. She rules. She is as nice as her records, and her records are wonderful.

(also: I got the Oscillons From The Anti-Sun comp by Stereolab because it was 3 CDs + 1 DVD for 16 bucks, loaned aila76 Harold and Maude in addition to Hell House from a couple days ago, phancy/Phancy.com posted the new Mp3s for this week, and Dale took us for Indian food after the Laura Cantrell show which was very, very good. I enjoy Naan. or Nan. however it's spelled. Also, Tandoori Chicken.)
