Mike album arrived here today. It's easily his most accomplished yet, laden with witty asides and cracking musicianship.

Laura sings on I've Been Trying . Initially she merely harmonises but towards the end she has a line on her own. The sleeve - and Mike's site - has a session photo of Laura holding a guitar. However she is only credited for vocals . The song is co-written by Mike and Jay Sherman-Godfrey. Jay is credited with acoustic and electric guitar so I imagine thats his playing on the track.

The best track on the disc is Suddenly Free . Featuring a truly rocktastic buzz-guitar riff it is best bit of pop confection I've heard so far this year.
