View Full Version : cat power show review
Did anyone else catch the Cat Power show review at the Paste Magazine site (www.pastemagazine.com)? Is that kind of impression common??

I read the review at the Paste website, and I must say although it is extremely verbose it's quite accurate about the details of what happened at the show. One thing that he left out, probably in her favor, was that she was extremely intoxicated towards the middle to end of the show. But considering that she is known for her problems with stage fright, I most likely would have had a few drinks myself if I were in her shoes. I admire that she is more concerned with pleasing herself than her audience, and those that appreciate the fact that she is baring her soul through her music can easily get past any momentary awkwardness. I was glad that I stuck around because I was rewarded with a kiss on the cheek by Chan as she let me take a photo with her. She has a truly positive spirit.

It's admirable of you to have that level of understanding about someone who you only really know through their music.
For real! She was wearing that shirt when I saw her last fall.

I remember reading somewhere she just made this album cuz some kids who weren't allowed to enter her gigs kept on asking her about the new album. Though she usually has "problems" playing onstage, she's more comfortable doing that than putting out a record.
and I've seen her in that shirt in all photos taken in the past few months, since last year. that's why I'm curious. Is that Michael Hurley's or Ward's or something?
