Delayed preorders

Apologies to a bunch of people who preordered 'CR2 - LA's Desert Origins' and didn't receive it. Insound had a problem with their printer at one point during the order processing period.

Insound writes:

"While printing the large amount of orders, the printer experienced some problems. After turning off the printer, getting it back on-line, and reloading the paper, there was a gray area where the computer thought it had printed the order and the printer did not. Never to do we turn off the printer in the middle of such a large print job. This is a one time error, and it has never happened before.

"All orders are being shipped out today, and the customers who didn't receive their preorders are getting a 'Crooked Crooked Rain' poster."

Again, we apologize for this mixup. Please get in touch with me, or matadorhelp@insound.com, if you haven't received your preorder and you haven't yet been in touch with Insound or me about it.

Patrick, thanks for the update. I know I've been of the unlucky ones who did not receive my order. I did receive an e-mail from John Lee at Insound who said he shipped my order last Friday. I hope I get a poster too, he did not mention any thing of the sort, oh well. Thanks for your help.

My order finally arrived today! I received a nifty little poster to boot, thanks Patrick and all at Insound. Listening to this album conjures memories of my first and only Pavement show on Mother's day 1994 at the Southgate House in Newport, KY. The 3D's, GBV, and Pavement. Wow what a night, the crowd was electric and the music was right on. Great memories.......

Patrick - It has been a week since you posted the message about the delayed pre-orders and I have still not received my copy. Can you check and make sure my order was one of the delayed shipments? I'm starting to think it was lost in the mail.

Cheesetea, the album was released on October 26th, which was less than three weeks ago. There was no way you would have gotten it before then, so your complaint of 6 weeks (presumably when you placed the order) is unfounded, and at best, whiny.

Patrick and crew have done a great job of keeping everyone informed, and honestly, if you're just gonna cry about it, take it to email. just a suggestion...

I, too, have not recieved my copy. I got an e-mail from Insound on Nov 4, saying that it would arrive in 3-4 business days, and it is now clearly past that window. Could I just get a status update?
