Did Roger and Clint really switch sides of the stage for Birmingham?

Yes, they did. It was one of those left-hand-drive things.

Actually, it was because the ceiling at stage right was considerably lower than the ceiling at stage left, leading to concerns over stage volume. It made for a very interesting night.

As Scewball points out there was indeed a switch. Probably you looked at the site before I got a bit of text up with the photos. Here's what is posted with the Birmingham shots.

"Burma blasts the "Brummies" and I fall in love with "The Floozie in the Jacuzzi"--the local nickname (or at least I'm told) for the central fountain. Huh? What's this? Roger and Clint switch places. Are they bored with looking at one another from the same angle? Have they lost all sense of direction after endless days/hours in a van? Or does Peter simply need a slight change of scenery? No...no...no. Actually this switch has to do with Roger's usual side of the stage having a lower ceiling and the staff thinking that his amp would therefore bounce back too loudly on him. Speaking of Roger, nice to hear his new tune "13" again. The song gains even more strength with every performance. "
