For me, "Come Crash" and "Miracle Drug" are tied at the top.

I keep discovering new ones.
I love "Drink To Me Babe Then".
Also "Secretarial", "The Battle For Straight Time", and especially "The Cloud Prayer".

"The Battle For Straight Time" sounds like it could have easily been on "Electric Version" or for some reason I get that feeling.
"Drink To Me Babe Then" is fantastic as well.
The Battle for Straight Time has such a peculiar structure, it's the one I keep going back to. I also love On the Table, though.

Definitely, "On The Table." That guitar riff is sweet!

"the Battle For Straight Time," no question. I am so glad I finally picked this album up last week.

"Secretarial," hands down. But I'm also big on "The Town Halo."

man, this whole time (well, the few weeks I've had the album) I thought it was "Secretariat", like the horse.
either way, that *is* a great great song.
i like 'better than most' it sounds so brian wilson.
*so psyched for the show tonight*
My favorite would have to be "The Town Halo", that cello is something else. Newman has destroyed my mind and I thank him for it.
I've just got the album today, I'll let you all know what I think later.
(sorry Patrick, I bought it off Ebay).
On first impressions (I might change my mind), I was really disappointed with this album, underneath the annoying production there could be a great album. It's as if every song has something that pisses me off, a loud drum thwak, and AC Newman's voice starts to grate after a while. I like the New Pornographers, but this doesn't come close, again, on first impressions.

Offer more specifics about what you consider to be annoying production. The production isn't radically different than the New Pornographers stuff.
I don't know, it's not just the production, it's the delivery in general, all the off-beat stuff bugs me after a while, The New Pornographers did it but did it well. Similarly with the production Iguess- kitchen sink but not done as well.
