GC/Patrick,
Now that the Beggars relationship has matured a little, how have things proceeded?
Any spooky Capitol memories?

Things are great! Cooking along like clockwork.
Beggars and Capitol could not be more different.

I like that the Beggars peeps post here too, and seem just as loose and fun as the Matador Gang. seems like a perfect fit.

other than the new dress code, things are great.
Not too many Capitol memories, to tell you the truth. But my memory is shot, for whatever it is worth. I seem to recall their offices were in a really cool building...and it was a very short drive from their place to Pink's hot dogs. So I guess that's a good memory.
Oh yeah, someone introduced me to Glen Ballard. that was a nice memory, too.
(going back to my nap)

Agreed. That's the perception that I get too. Glad to hear that things are working out well.

I knew that some of the familiar names were indeed former Matadorks, but dont' some of the UK Beggars and other Beggars previously not employed by Matador post here too?
as far as people like Ben who used to post under the Matador standard who have shifted to Beggars, how was it decided who shifted? did the Matador employees pick numbers out of a hat to see who would be working under which name? Does everybody's paycheck say "Beggars" but some people are still Matador?
I'm just confusing myself now...

but i think that some of the Beggars people's paychecks are no longer flying the Matador flag.

Some people's paychecks say "Matador" and some say "Beggars Group" -- and a bunch of employees were moved over from employment at Matador to employment within the Group.
Still all in the same office, many performing the same functions, if for a wider variety of labels and releases now.
And yes, we are now proudly part of the worldwide Beggars Group family.

P.S. Dress code is casual casual. You should see us in summer.
