At one point, it was decided we would devote the entire second issue of Escandalo!to child actors. Unfortunately, the only person who came to that meeting was Lyle. He passed on the news to a couple of people, who, excited about child actors, wrote the following:

  • Alan Licht's Top 5 and Bottom 5

  • Bob Beerman (Pell Mell) -- "Lukas Haas, best known as the Amish boy in Witness, came to see Pell Mell at our recent show in New York. He introduced himself to me: "Hi, I'm Lukas Haas." I struggled to think of a more recent movie he's been in -- I imgine he's sick of the Witness thing -- but couldn't. I shook his hand, smiled and thanked him for coming. Unfortunately, he missed our set because he was listening to our CD in the car. He looks a lot like that actor in Dazed And Confused, for what it's worth."

  • Ward Dotson (Liquor Giants) -- "Several months ago, I was introduced to the drummer for the Seven Deadly Five. It was none other than Robbie Rist, child actor (Ted Knight's on-screen son). Just a couple weeks ago, I was invited to a party at Mr. Rist's house where he was quite the hospitable host. We sang songs on his out-of-tune piano and ate barbecued chicken. At the party's conclusion, I suggested that he name his new band "The Rist Rockets." My new pal let out a patronizing chuckle as he wished me luck on my drive home.

"I am currently working on a new song about Mr. Rist:

    Went to a party
    Robbie Rist was there
Went home and turned on Bob Newhart
    Robbie Rist was there."
